Investigators suspect arson in vacant house fire

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Fire investigators believe that arson is the cause of an early morning house fire that happened in the 5200 block of Annette Street.

The fire started just before 3:30 am Saturday morning.  Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the rear of the home engulfed in flames.  The blaze nearly destroyed the whole structure before it was brought under control.  The home suffered nearly $50,000 worth of damage, it has been considered a total loss.
