(RNN) - The last eight are standing, and things are exactly as they should be - there are no double-digit seeds left in the tournament.

There is a No. 1 vs. No. 2 battle brewing in the Chitwood Region between Hoosiers and Brian's Song, and there is an all-baseball final in the Grand Slam Region with Major League and Field of Dreams.

Rocky is in a battle with nostalgia against The Sandlot, and Jerry Maguire is teeing off against a group of golfers who are nowhere near good enough for representation by an agent of his caliber.

No. 1 Rocky vs. No. 6 The Sandlot

Rocky, 1976

Stars: Sylvester Stallone, Carl Weathers, Talia Shire

Synopsis: The first sports film to win an Academy Award for Best Picture features affable underdog Rocky Balboa (Stallone), who gets an unlikely title bout against heavyweight champ Apollo Creed. Stallone wrote the original screenplay in three days, though it went through extensive rewrites before it was shot in 28 days on a budget of $1.1 million.

The Sandlot, 1993

Stars: Tom Guiry, Mike Vitar, Denis Leary, James Earl Jones

Synopsis: A new kid in town (Guiry) tries to make friends through baseball, but he's not good and is an outcast until bringing a ball so they can keep playing. The ball turns out to be autographed by Babe Ruth, but they hit it over the fence into a yard guarded by a mean dog known as "The Beast." The kids try various plans to retrieve the ball with no success and are forced to face The Beast and his owner, Mr. Mertle (Jones), who both turn out to be nothing like the kids imagined.

No. 2 Field of Dreams vs. No. 4 Major League

Field of Dreams, 1989

Stars: Kevin Costner, Ray Liotta, James Earl Jones

Synopsis: After hearing voices ("If you build it, they will come"), Iowa corn farmer Ray Kinsella (Costner) turns the voices to a vision and then makes it a reality by building a baseball diamond. When he does, the infamous 1919 Chicago White Sox show up - as does as his late father.

Major League, 1989

Stars: Charlie Sheen, Tom Berenger, Rene Russo

Synopsis: The woeful Cleveland Indians become the inherited property of a widowed ex-showgirl, and she becomes bent on making the team so terrible the city will let her out of the stadium lease so she can move the franchise to Miami. Has-been manager Lou Brown, relief pitcher Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn and a group of no-name players get back at the new owner by doing the unthinkable - winning.

No. 2 Caddyshack vs. No. 4 Jerry Maguire

Caddyshack, 1980

Stars: Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Ted Knight, Bill Murray

Synopsis: A kooky playboy with a Zen outlook (Chase), a crotchety judge (Knight), a "new money" loudmouth (Dangerfield) and an assistant groundskeeper with a gopher vendetta (Murray) are among the oddballs gracing the fairways of Bushwood Country Club. Through all the hilarity, caddy Danny Noonan (Michael O'Keefe) tries to figure out how he will make his way to college.

Jerry Maquire, 1996

Stars: Tom Cruise, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Renee Zellweger, Kelly Preston, Jerry O'Connell

Synopsis: Sports agent Jerry Maguire (Cruise) is fired for denouncing the corruptness of his business. So he decides to test his new philosophy, going it alone with the only coworker (Zellweger) and client (Gooding) who believe in him. Gooding nabbed an Oscar for his performance as NFL receiver Rod Tidwell.

No. 1 Hoosiers vs. No. 2 Brian's Song

Hoosiers, 1986

Stars: Gene Hackman, Dennis Hopper, Barbara Hershey

Synopsis: Buddy gets the rock to Jimmy Chitwood at the top of the key and he buries it. "Hickory wins! Hickory wins!" Everybody hugs and cries. The eyes of Coach Dale (Hackman) and Myra Fleener (Hershey) meet in the midst of great celebration. The tiny school with six players, a tainted head coach and a drunk assistant (Hopper) make it all the way to the state finals and win by playing their best and letting the rest take care of itself.

Brian's Song, 1971

Stars: James Caan, Billy Dee Williams

Synopsis: This made-for-TV drama tells the true story of Chicago Bears greats Gale Sayers and Brian Piccolo. They struck an unlikely friendship that broke social barriers during a time when the country was still dealing with racial tensions. That friendship lasted through Piccolo's illness and eventual death.
