BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
A Baton Rouge Police Officer pulled over a vehicle early Monday morning for driving on the wrong side of the road, but what the officer found was a man trying to eat marijuana before the officer got to his window.
When the driver rolled down his window, the officer noted that the smell of marijuana was strong coming out of the car. The officer told the driver, now identified as 42-year-old Spencer Walker, to walk to the police car.
The probable cause report states that Walker would not speak to the officer and was chewing on something. The officer told him to take whatever he was chewing on out of his mouth.
Walker then admitted to police that he began eating his marijuana before coming to a stop.
Officers searched Walker's vehicle and found a tramadol pill in the car. They also found two marijuana roaches in his pants' pocket.
Walker was taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he was charged with possession of a legend drug, possession of marijuana, and evidence tampering.
