BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - An injured bald eagle is now soaring the skies again after receiving medical treatment.

The LSU Veterinary School released the bird on the levee in Baton Rouge Monday morning.

Officials said the eagle was found in the New Orleans area earlier this year.

It had a broken right shoulder. The fracture took about three months to heal.
