BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and two other people wounded, but they are still looking for two other suspects.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said Cedric Glasper, 24, faces multiple charges in Thursday's triple shooting in the Glen Oaks area that left Corinthian Robertson, 23, dead. Detectives said he was identified in a photo lineup by the surviving victims.
Glasper is charged with one count of second-degree murder, two counts of attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon. He is being held on a $260,000 bond.
Deputies reported the shooting happened at a home in the 7300 block of Dan Drive around 6:15 p.m. They added the other two people taken to the hospital after the shooting suffered injuries not considered life-threatening.
Casey Rayborn Hicks, a spokesperson for EBRSO, said Glasper showed up at the home and got into an argument with one of the men there. She said Glasper left but later returned in a truck with two other men. She added Glasper got into a fight with two men at the home.
According to reports, when one of the men at the home grabbed a stick, the two men with Glasper got out of the truck and opened fire. Hicks said Glaspar and one of the men drove off in the truck, while the third ran away.
Detectives are looking for a gold/pewter-colored Chevrolet Avalanche with heavy front-end damage. Hicks said the driver crashed as the suspects were trying to flee the scene. Descriptions of the suspects were not given.
The investigation is ongoing.
