BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Two elementary school students face charges after they allegedly carried a BB gun around school.
A spokeswoman for the East Baton Rouge sheriff's office says a 12-year-old boy brought the unloaded gun to Twin Oaks Elementary School on Wednesday and gave it to an 11-year-old boy.
Detectives say that student brought it to a nearby BREC Park where other students saw it and reported it to the school principal.
Officials say no threats were made.
Both boys are charged with illegal carrying of a weapon.
The school principal did not return our call for comment.
