BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Five people have been indicted for murder from a deadly drug deal last December.

Deputies believe 20-year-old Demarcus James was the gunman and four other men were with him at the time. The other men have been identified as Avery Honea, 17, of Prairieville; Ivan Graham, 19, of Gonzales; Bryton Montelaro, 18, of Gonzales; and Aaron Hargrove, 19 of Prairieville.

Investigators say all five went to 20-year-old Jared Vincent's home on Ridge Pecan Drive, near Burbank Drive, with plans of stealing money and drugs from Vincent.

Police say Vincent was shot and killed and everyone ran off before deputies arrived.

A sixth man, 21-year-old Patrick Anderson, is also charged with obstruction of justice. Deputies say he cleaned off the guns used in the shooting.
