Police search for suspect in auto parts store armed robbery

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police are trying to find the man who robbed an auto parts store at gunpoint Sunday evening.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported it happened at the Auto Zone in the 10000 block of Florida Boulevard just before 8 p.m.

Detectives said the suspect walked into the store with a handgun demanded money from the safe and registers.

They added the two employees in the store gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and he ran away. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as 5'8" and weighing about 130 pounds. He is dark-skinned and wore a dark colored hooded jacket, dark jeans and a mesh-type material covering the bottom part of his face.
