LSU: Smell of natural gas is due to project

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - LSU officials sent information to students and faculty Thursday morning about the smell of natural gas due to work on a project.

They said Facility Service's Powerhouse Operations is performing a high-pressure natural gas tie-in.

According to LSU, the situation should not pose any health or fire-related issues. Officials said the project is scheduled to be completed Thursday and they will continue to monitor it.

Students said the smell of gas is strong on the campus.
