BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Nine LSU pitchers combined for a shutout and Jared Foster's three-run double highlighted a seven-run sixth inning as the No. 7 Tigers bounced back from their losses at Vanderbilt to beat South Alabama 9-0 Wednesday night at Alex Box Stadium.

Cody Glenn worked two scoreless innings as the starter before he pitches in Sunday's SEC game with Georgia, and seven relievers kept the Jaguars scoreless. It was the eighth shutout for LSU (18-4) in 22 games this season.

Kade Scivicque got the game-winning hit when he became the Tigers' home run leader with a solo shot in the fourth inning, his second of the year, to stake LSU to a 1-0 lead.

South Alabama (10-9) only has one home run as a team in 19 games and has been blanked four times.

LSU returns to action Friday night when Aaron Nola (4-0) faces Georgia to start its weekend series.
