Wildcat Sand Volleyball readies for season opener

The Arizona sand volleyball team will begin its inaugural season on Friday to open the two-day Arizona Invitational. The Wildcats will play Arizona Christian on Friday at 2 p.m. with a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 1:30 p.m. at the Arizona Sand Volleyball Courts. 

In addition to Arizona Christian, the U of A will also host Grand Canyon and Arizona State in the event. The Wildcats will play Grand Canyon on Saturday at 10 a.m. and Arizona State at 4 p.m.

The Arizona Sand Volleyball Courts are located at Jimenez Field, home to the former practice football fields on the corner of Enke Dr. and Campbell Ave.

Admission to all home sand volleyball matches is free. Fans are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets.

Saturday

Arizona vs. Grand Canyon (10 a.m.)

Arizona State vs. Arizona Christian (12 p.m.)

Grand Canyon vs. Arizona Christian (2 p.m.)

Arizona vs. Arizona State (4 p.m.)
