MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

Mesa police need help identifying a man suspected of exposing himself several times in front of women in West Mesa over the past two years.

Investigators released several composite sketches Wednesday in hopes of generating leads.

The incidents started in January 2012, and the most recent one was reported last month. Police said the suspect has gone more than a year between offenses.

In January 2012, police investigated an attempted sexual assault in the area of Longmore and Southern in west Mesa. The suspect broke into the victim's apartment but fled before he committed the crime.

Since that time, there have been other reports of a similar suspect exposing and pleasuring himself in front of women in various apartment complexes in the same area, police said.

Two of the victims were able to provide enough information for the composite sketches to be drawn.

The suspect was described as a thin black male in his 20s. He was between 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet 2 two inches tall with curly dark hair.

People with information are asked to contact the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211 or Silent Witness at 480-Witness.
