Sulphur woman arrested for DWI, child endangerment

SULPHUR, LA (WAFB) -

Louisiana State Police were called to a single-vehicle crash Monday evening just before 8 p.m.

The driver, 31-year-old Amanda Michelle Migues was traveling with four children and her husband on I-10 Eastbound near PPG Drive in Calcasieu Parish.

The crash happened when Migues pickup went into a guardrail. There were no injuries reported in the crash. The children are between the ages of 2 and 13.

According to reports, troopers believed Migues was impaired and was placed under arrest. She has been charged with DWI with child endangerment, careless operation, expired license plate, no inspection sticker, and no driver's license on person.

She was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.

Illegal narcotics use is suspected to be a factor in the crash. Troopers obtained a toxicology sample for analysis.
