Baton Rouge man arrested for stealing cell phones

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police arrested Storm Ankrom on March 2 on three counts of armed robbery and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

According to police, Ankrom along with a Black male and Black female approached three people who were walking in the 6500 block of Harry Drive and demanded their cell phones.

One of the victims threw down two cell phones and the defendant picked them up and left. The victims were able to describe the suspects. Officers located them and the victims positively identified them.

Ankrom told officers that the cell phones were in his co-defendant's apartment. The phones were located and Ankrom was transported to Parish Prison.
