BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The historic Lion Copolymer Baton Rouge plant which closed its doors in January after more than 70 years of service has re-opened under new management.
The plant located at 5955 Scenic Highway is now operated by the East West Copolymer and Rubber. The company started operations Feb. 25.
"The site has been a part of the Scenic Highway landscape for generations and we are excited about continuing that tradition," says CEO Greg Nelson.
East West Copolymer has about 80 employees and 70 contract employees.
