Shooting in outer limits of French Settlement, man injured

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

A man has been injured in a shooting that happened in Livingston Parish earlier this evening.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office informed our news crew that the incident occurred on LA Trace Road just outside of the town of French Settlement at around 7:00 p.m.

Details are limited, but LPSO spokesperson Lori Steele reports that one male victim has been transported for treatment of his injuries.

An investigation is ongoing. We will keep you updated as this story develops.
