LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) - Some Livingston Parish homeowners say they are showing up in force at Thursday night's council meeting.
People who live along the Petit Amite spent the better part of last year rebuilding after Hurricane Isaac. Residents believe another element, a pumping station in Ascension Parish, was also responsible for flooding their homes.
They are now asking the council to pass a resolution that would require surrounding parishes to do a study on the effects levees and pumping stations may have on Livingston Parish.
The meeting starts at 6 p.m.
