ROCKPORT, IN (WAVE) - More than $400,000 in unpaid bills in David Camm's third murder trial is the focus of a hearing in Spencer County, IN.

Attorneys for Floyd County and Camm are appearing before the judge who presided over the trial last fall. Floyd County's auditor is questioning defense expenses.

Camm's attorneys claim Floyd County hasn't paid some of the bills they submitted and have taken more than a year to pay others. County Auditor Scott Clark says the unpaid bills total $420,000.

Since Camm's acquittal in October 2013 in the murders of his wife and two children, Clark has withheld payment on some bills from Camm attorneys, Richard Kammen and Stacy Uliana. Clark cited a lack of documentation and payments to a lawyer and paralegal that he claims were not authorized when the defense lawyers were appointed.

Camm's expenses have been paid with Floyd tax revenues and casino revenue sharing money, but some expenses may be reimbursed by a state public defender fund.
