The man wanted for allegedly using someone else's credit card information to purchase thousands of dollars worth of furniture has been caught.

Greater Baton Rouge Crime Stoppers reported Elvin Webb, 29, of Baton Rouge, was arrested Saturday outside of San Francisco.

Sgt. Donald Stone said Webb was taken into custody after officers with the California Highway Patrol pulled him over for a traffic violation and discovered the warrant for his arrest from the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Webb faces two counts of felony theft and two counts of unauthorized use of an access card.

According to investigators, he used credit card account information without authorization on February 11 at a Baton Rouge furniture store to purchase several thousand dollars worth of furniture.

Detectives said he used the same card information the next day at a different Baton Rouge furniture store to buy another several thousand dollars worth of furniture.
