Audit says CATS officials knew of money shortfalls

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Capital Area Transit System is at the center of an investigative audit.

The report from the Louisiana Legislative Auditor stated CATS officials were aware of money shortfalls for several years and did little to investigate.

The report even points to a $158,000 shortage in a two-year period alone.

According to the audit, ex-officials were also paid for time they didn't work.
