CARLSBAD, CA (KFMB/CBS) - Legoland California unveiled its newest attraction Thursday - the real set from the blockbuster Lego Movie.

Legoland and Warner Brothers disassembled the set from the No. 1 movie in America and moved it to Carlsbad to become a permanent attraction.

Builders used 3 million Lego bricks to construct the masterpiece.

A line of eager spectators more than 200 yards long wrapped around the building to get the first glimpse.

"To recreate this here at Legoland, CA, it took us six weeks," said Tim Sams. "There were four master model builders - six grueling weeks."

One of the stars of the movie is 10-year-old Jadon Sand. He said the director of the movie, Phil Lord, wanted his twin brother to get the starring role.

But Will Ferrell picked Jadon because of his curly hair.
