Theft suspects wanted in St. Mary Parish

BAYOU VISTA, LA (WAFB) -

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office is trying to identify two theft suspects who allegedly robbed a Walmart in Bayou Vista on Valentine's Day.

The incident happened early morning at around 3:30 a.m. Authorities says two people were seen, on video surveillance, driving up to the front entrance of the location in an SUV. The passenger of the vehicle gets out and enters the store, then walks into a "restricted warehouse area". The suspect removed a large flat screen television from the storage.

The driver rides around to the back of the store, awaiting as the other suspect walks out with the TV through a rear emergency exit, setting off the fire alarm.

The stolen television is loaded into the SUV, and the pair get back into the vehicle and depart onto Delmar Road.

Officials say the vehicle's rear door on the driver's side was left open with the television protruding from the SUV.

Anyone with information on the crime or information on who the two suspects can reach the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Detectives at 985-384-1622 or 337-828-1960.
