BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man was arrested Thursday for the death of his 5-year-old daughter; six months after her death.
According to Baton Rouge Police, 32-year-old Terry Edwards is charged with second degree murder.
Edwards' daughter, Taliyah was three months old in 2008 when she started having seizures. She was admitted to the Pediatric ER of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
After being examined, doctors observed signs of a stroke that happened a month before the seizures began.
Doctors believe Taliyah's injuries were caused as a result of shaken baby syndrome. Taliyah died in August 2013.
Edwards was booked into the East Baton Rouge Prison on charges of second degree murder.
No bond has been set.
