Investigation into possible meth activity leads to 7 arrests

PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (WAFB) -

Authorities said seven people were arrested, most on meth charges, after a month-long investigation into possible illegal drug activity at a home.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office reported the following arrests:

Patrick Kleinpeter Sr., 56, of Prairieville

David Bare, 50, of Prairieville

Lori Bailey, 35, of Prairieville

Jennifer Wagley, 35, of Prairieville

Ryan Phelps, 33, of Gonzales

Tracey Bare, 41, of St. Amant

Brandi Donaldson, 23, of Prairieville

Lt. Col. Bobby Webre with APSO said the narcotics division started conducting surveillance on a home on Beechwood Road in Prairieville and on February 14, pulled over two vehicles deputies saw leave the home. Detectives reported finding meth, heroin, drug paraphernalia, handguns and a shotgun inside the cars. Wagley, Tracey Bare, Phelps and Donaldson were arrested as a result of the traffic stops.

Four days later, the narcotics division served a warrant to search the home. Deputies said they discovered two active meth labs, meth, marijuana, pseudophedrine, hydrocodone, clonazepam, xanax, adderall and a handgun. In addition to Kleinpeter, David Bare and Bailey being taken into custody, Wagley was arrested again. Kleinpeter, David Bare and Bailey live at the home.

Kleinpeter, David Bare and Bailey all face the following charges:

Creation/operation of a clandestine lab (2 counts)

Possession of Schedule II CDS (3 counts)

Possession of Schedule IV CDS (3 counts)

Possession of Schedule I CDS

Illegal carrying of a weapon

Possession of drug paraphernalia

They are all still locked up at the Ascension Parish Jail on $171,089 bond each.

Wagley was booked on February 14 on charges of possession of Schedule II CDS, creation/operation of a clandestine lab and possession of drug paraphernalia. She bonded out of jail the same day. She was then arrested on February 18 on the following charges:

Creation/operation of a clandestine lab (2 counts)

Possession with intent to distribute Schedule II CDS

Possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV CDS

Possession of Schedule II CDS (2 counts)

Possession of Schedule IV CDS (2 counts)

Possession of schedule I CDS

Illegal carrying of a weapon

Possession of drug paraphernalia

She remains in jail on a bond of $171,089.

Phelps was booked on the following charges:

Possession with intent to distribute Schedule II CDS

Creation/operation of a clandestine lab

Illegal carrying of a firearm (2 counts)

Felon in possession of a firearm

He is still behind bars on $70,000 bond.

Tracey Bare is charged with possession of methamphetamine. He remains in custody on $5,000 bond.

Donaldson was charged with:

Possession of Schedule I CDS

Possession of Schedule II CDS

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Illegal carrying of a weapon

Her bond was set at $35,344.50. She was released from jail on February 16.

The investigation is ongoing.
