BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Two teens face murder charges in the death a man who succumbed to head injuries two weeks after suffering them.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said Windall Herring, 19, was arrested Tuesday. He is charged with second-degree murder in the death of John Bannon, 55.

He was also booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. His bond was set at $110,000.

Police said a 15-year-old was also caught Tuesday in connection with the crime and will be charged with second-degree murder when he is released from the hospital.

Investigators said Bannon was found in the 1600 block of Lake Calais Court on Feb. 1 around 9:30 p.m. He had suffered multiple head injuries. Lake Calais Court is near the Town South Shopping Center.

Bannon was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died from his injuries on Feb. 14.

Detectives added they have not yet determined a motive for the killing.
