BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Musicians are getting free dental cleanings, X-rays, and dental exams in downtown Baton Rouge.
The free dental care is taking place Tuesday, Feb. 18 at the Capitol City Welcome Center on River Road in Baton Rouge.
It's all courtesy of the Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation Healthcare Initiative in partnership with Musicares, a service division of the of the Grammy's, and the SMILE program.
"Whether you're a lead singer or in the spotlight or a sound tech working the board, it's vital for music professionals to maintain good dental health," says Kathy Richard, director of the Healthcare Initiative.
No additional appointments are being accepted today, but the program is administered every six months in different locations throughout the state.
