18-wheeler overturns spilling load of chickens

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the crash of a commercial vehicle that overturned Tuesday morning and lost its cargo of livestock.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. when an 18-wheeler traveling along U.S. Hwy. 331 overturned at Hyundai Blvd.

The overturned hauler was carrying a load of live chickens at the time of the crash.

are working an accident involving an overturned 18-wheeler.

Troopers blocked off the outside northbound lane of 331 to clear the wreckage.

It's not known at this time what caused the accident. The case remains under investigation.
