An upcoming workshop will help members of community organizations increase publicity for their events.
The Baton Rouge Area Association of Black Journalists (BRAABJ) is hosting a workshop called the "Secrets to Accessing the Media." Local anchors, reporters, producers, digital specialists, and editors will teach you how to get your events in the media, how to write a news release, and how to conduct yourself during an interview.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at The Advocate, 7290 Bluebonnet Boulevard, in Baton Rouge. Breakfast will be served. The cost is $10 per person.
You can pay at the door, but you must RSVP in advance by sending your name, organization, and the number of people attending to firstname.lastname@example.org. Seating is limited so reserve your spot today.
