U.S. Rep. Sewell to host town hall meetings this week

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Congresswoman Terri Sewell has several town hall meetings scheduled this week throughout the 7th Congressional District.

The Congress in Your Community events give residents the chance to share their concerns and hear updates from the congresswoman. The meetings are part of Sewell's tour through the 14 counties of the district.

Meetings include:

  • Tuesday: Larry D. Striplin Performing Arts Center in Selma from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday: The Plaza at Centennial Hall in Montgomery from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • Thursday: Uniontown City Auditorium in Uniontown from 11 a.m. to noon

Sewell will also host town hall meetings in Birmingham, Center Point, Greensboro and White Hall this week.

    16-year-old Raven Little-White died in August, after a boating accident on Lake Waccamaw. The medical examiner’s report lists “drowning” as the probable cause of death, but a toxicology report that came back later revealed Raven had actually succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning.
