EBR Sheriff's deputies looking for man using fake credit cards

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Detectives are looking for a man who used counterfeit credit cards to makes purchases at a toy store in Baton Rouge.

According to police, the man used a fake American Express credit card to make two purchases at the Toys R Us on North Mall Drive on Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. He bought three car seats for $970 and an iPad Air and an Xbox system for nearly $1,200.

Police say the victim still has the card. It was also later learned that the same unknown male attempted to use a second fake credit card at the GameStop on College drive, but was unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as slim-built, Asian male wearing a white New York Yankees baseball hat. He appears to be approximately 20 to 30 years old.
