WASHINGTON D.C. (WAFB) - The Washington Redskins announced Monday that the team has named former quarterback Doug Williams as Personnel Executive.
In 1987, Williams was named Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XXII after leading the Redskins to a victory over the Denver Broncos.
The Zachary native played at Grambling State University before being drafted by the Tampa Bay Bucs in 1978.
Williams had two coaching stints at Grambling. Although his overall record with the Tigers was 61-34, Williams was fired two games into the 2013 season.
Williams has also had coached at Morehouse College and worked in the front office with the Tampa Bay Bucs and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
