Nashville celebrates Ernest Tubb’s 100th birthday

Nashville celebrated what would have been country music pioneer Ernest Tubb's 100th birthday Saturday night.

Tubb's anniversary bash was held during the Midnite Jamboree in Ernest Tubb's Record Shop at the Texas Troubadour Theatre.

Glenn Douglas Tubb hosted the evening tribute to his departed uncle.

Ernest Tubb's Midnite Jamboree is the second longest running radio show in history.

The Country Music Hall of Famer is best known for his 1941 hit song "Walking the Floor Over You."

Tubb was also the first singer to record the song "Blue Christmas" in 1948 before it became an Elvis Presley staple.
