Baton Rouge Police apprehend shooting suspect

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The suspect in the deadly shooting that took place on South 15th Street Friday evening has been captured, according to Baton Rouge Police.

Corey Scott, 18, was taken into custody Sunday morning at his home.  Investigators believe that he shot and killed 18-yr-old Marvin Thomas after they had a physical altercation outside of the Terrance Grocery.

Scott will be booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of 2nd Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Weapon.
