Grand jury indicts suspects in connection to Iberville Parish murder

PLAQUEMINE, LA (WAFB) -

Four people were charged today in connection with a murder in Plaquemine.

The murder claimed the life of Darnell Paige, who was shot last year on November 4th.  Police say it happened on Bourgeois Street, near LA 1. Then someone dropped off Paige at the police station.

A grand jury indicted both 26-year-old Thomas Johnson and 29-year-old Brandon James on second degree murder charges, and several other charges.

Jessica Deloch, 32, was indicted on accessory after the fact to second degree murder and 51-year-old Daisy Bindon was indicted on charges of possession of between 28gm- 200gm of cocaine.

    For a few hours Wednesday, many law enforcement officers were out trying to build a better connection with the community, hopefully making it easier to call in those tips.
