BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank is kicking off a food drive at the parish's governmental agencies and libraries.
Food Bank officials say since the holidays are over, contributions take a plunge. The drive which started Wednesday runs through the end of March. Mike Manning, the Food Bank President, says it's important to keep the shelves of the Food Bank well stocked.
"It's this time of year, after the holidays, where we really don't see a lot of food drives. So, it's a great idea to try to keep us top of mind, and help us get some food to make a difference," said Manning.
