BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police are investigating a home invasion that involved two men who were allegedly pretending to be police officers.
Police say 22-year-old Clayton Dugan and 22-year-old Miles Moreno were arrested and charged with armed robbery Wednesday morning.
According to records, the two men broke into a house on St. Rose Avenue, not far from Baton Rouge High School, and held up two women and a six year old with a shot gun.
One of the victims, Jackie Bridgers, says the men tried to kick in her front door before breaking her daughter's bedroom window. She said she was able to get through to 911 before the suspects dragged them all into the bathroom and demanded money.
"The police had already started surrounding the house when they were out there because the time from us calling 911 they were still trying to get in the door. So there was some time for them to get from point A to point B to point C. The cops were already notified before they got in the house," said Bridgers.
Bridgers says detectives arrested Dugan and Moreno on the spot and were able to retrieve the $400 she says they took from her.
The two men are in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Dugan has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated burglary, flight from an officer and distribution/manufacturing of a schedule 1 drug.
Moreno has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated burglary, resisting an officer, and impersonating an officer.
No bond has been set for either of the two men.
