BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police arrested a man accused of committing armed robbery against a pizza delivery driver on February 2, 2014.
The victim tells police that a man, now identified as 19-year-old Telvin Robertson, approached him with a small, black handgun and demanded money. The suspect stole about $60 from the victim before leaving the apartment complex where the robbery happened. The victim says the suspect left in a blue Mazda MZ6.
Officers later found the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The man in the vehicle matched the description of the armed robbery suspect from earlier in the night.
During the investigation, police say Robertson was in possession of four small "baggies of marijuana," a scale, a box of baggies, and a grinder. Police say they also found Robertson to be in possession of a glock pistol magazine, but no weapon was located.
Telvin Robertson was arrested and charged with armed robbery, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Robertson is being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a $87,500 bond.
