NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Dr. John and the Nite Trippers will be the headliners at the 31st annual French Quarter Festival to help kickoff festival season in New Orleans. The event is the largest free music festival in the country.

Dr. John, a Grammy award winning artist, will play on the Abita Stage Friday, April 11 at 4:30 p.m. It is the first time the blues and jazz legend has played at French Quarter Fest since 1987. He will be followed by the Roots of Music and Grammy award-winning Rebirth Brass Band.
