Police: Homeless man shot to death in Baton Rouge, identified

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police say a 52-year-old man was found shot and killed at a home located in the 400 block of West McKinley in Baton Rouge.

The man identified as Michael Rogers, but police say he was a homeless man who was allowed to stay in a shed behind the home.

BRPD is investigating the man's death as a homicide. At this time they have not established a motive or suspect for the shooting.

Police say this is the fifth homicide in East Baton Rouge Parish for 2014.
