LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office, more than 20 crashes have been reported since the curfew was lifted at 7 a.m.

Officials say residents are having a hard time driving on the sheet of ice that has now formed over most roadways across the parish.

In one instance, on Highway 16 officials were responding to multiple vehicles in the ditch. When a wrecker tried to pull the vehicles out, the wrecker slid off the roadway as well.

Sheriff's Office officials say to stay off the roadways until the weather event is over.
