LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

Livingston Parish has lifted its burn ban.

It was implemented just hours after a large grass fire in Albany destroyed a house and a shed on Jan. 21.

The fire started around 1 p.m. on Earl Jones Road near Pea Street and Wade Russell Road.

Firemen worked to get the fires under control, while high shifting winds posed further threats. At least 30 acres were affected by the fires in Livingston Parish.
