A Hammond, LA teen is dead and another turned himself in to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office after a shooting that happened late Thursday night at Roy's Night Club in Natalbany, LA.

Deputies say the shooting happened around 11:40 p.m. after a fight between two people broke out. Officials say 19-year-old Wilkaman Nunnery intervened and pulled out a handgun. In the report from deputies, Nunnery then pointed the gun at 17-year-old D'Markus McKnight and fired a shot.

Officials also say as McKnight fell to the ground, Nunnery fired two more shots killing McKnight. McKnight died as a result of the shooting.

Deputes say Nunnery fled the scene and a warrant for second degree murder was issued. Officials say Nunnery turned himself into the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Friday afternoon and is charged with second degree murder.

Additionally, the bar was cited for having an underage person inside of the bar.
