Amber Alert canceled after 3-year-old found safe, search continues for father

LAFAYETTE, LA (WAFB) -

An Amber Alert has been canceled for a 3-year-old girl after she was found safe Friday morning, but the search continues for her father.

Louisiana State Police reported Kailey Kristy Taylor was taken from a home in Duson in Lafayette Parish shortly after midnight.

Troopers said the little girl was taken by her father, Ransom Taylor, 30. He is 5'6" and weighs about 130 pounds. He also has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black jacket and black boots.

He has a scar over his left ear and a tattoo of a naked woman on his left bicep. He also has the name "Kristal" tattooed on his right wrist. He remains on the loose.

Investigators said he was last seen driving a white 2000 Pontiac Bonneville with Louisiana license plate: XHM 285. They added Ransom Taylor was last known to be living in the Lafayette area.
