BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office is looking for a burglary suspect who allegedly broke into a fast food restaurant, and they are seeking assistance from the public.
According to spokesperson Casey Rayborn Hicks, detectives received reports of a burglary at the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant located at 9690 Bluebonnet Blvd. It happened on Friday, January 10th at around 1:48 a.m.
Authorities said that when they arrived on the scene, they discovered a large brick had been thrown through the front door, shattering the glass. Officials pulled surveillance tapes and watched as a suspect entered the restaurant and attempted to access the safe. The suspect could not get the safe to open so he then left the scene empty-handed.
Officials provided a description of the suspect, saying he is a black male who was wearing a gray shirt, white pants, a red-hooded jacket and black tennis shoes.
