ATHENS, GA (RNN) - The Georgia Bulldogs scored more than 90 points in a game for the first time in two months, defeating the South Carolina Gamecocks 97-76 Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs move to 4-1 (10-7 overall) in SEC play and are tied for second place in the conference with No. 14 Kentucky. The South Carolina Gamecocks are going in the opposite direction and are 0-5 so far in conference play.

The Gamecocks (7-11 overall) trailed the entire game, often by as many as 20 points, despite getting 26 points from freshman guard Sindarius Thornwell. The Georgia scoring party was in large part to the awakening of Nemanja Djurisic, the junior guard from Montenegro, who scored 22 points and five rebounds off the bench.

Djurisic was one of five Bulldog players who scored in double digits, including guard Kenny Gaines, who scored 14 points. Georgia shot 66 percent from the free throw line and 55 percent from both field goal range and 3-pointers. South Carolina shot 66.7 percent from the foul line, 45.8 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent from 3-point range.

The Bulldogs capitalized on rebounds, outmanning the Gamecocks on the boards 39-27.

Georgia's next game will be on the road against the Wildcats on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET. South Carolina will travel to the SEC's other Columbia and face the Missouri Tigers on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
