Rally lifts Lady Techsters past FAU

RUSTON, LA (KSLA/Louisiana Tech Sports Information) -

Whitney Frazier recorded a double-double as the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters (6-12, 1-4 C-USA) defeated the Florida Atlantic Owls (11-7, 1-4 C-USA), 64-63 on Wednesday night in the Thomas Assembly Center.

 

Florida Atlantic led by five with five minutes remaining when the Lady Techsters went on a 14-2 run to pull ahead for the victory.

 

Whitney Frazier led the way for the Lady Techsters scoring 12 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Lulu Perry also provided a spark by scoring 17 points to lead the team. Also scoring in double digits was JaQuan Jackson who added 12 points.

 

Florida Atlantic was led by Briah Blakely who scored 22 points to lead all scorers. Blakely scored 18 of her 22 points in the second half. Florida Atlantic pulled down 15 offensive rebounds in the second half.

 

Louisiana Tech's next action comes Saturday when the Lady Techsters travel down to New Orleans to take on Tulane in a 2 p.m. contest.
