Window washer rescued by St. George firemen

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A window washer stuck at the fifth floor level after his rig became jammed was rescued by the St. George Fire Department Wednesday morning.

It happened in the 8500 block of United Plaza Blvd. around 10:30 a.m.

The window washer was working from a type of rig that is commonly called a bosun's chair.

The firefighters used a ladder truck and sent a firefighter up to rescue the man. He was back on the ground about 30 minutes later.
