BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police have announced a public informational safety meeting is planned for Thursday evening.
The Baton Rouge Police Community Services Division will host the meeting at the Florida Boulevard Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at 10915 Florida Boulevard from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Cpl. Don Coppola Jr. with BRPD said officers will pass on information that will help people reinforce the safety of their home to provide additional protection for their families.
They will also teach basic self-defense techniques.
The event is free.
