BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Many people in Baton Rouge remembered the life and the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a program and march Monday morning.

Dozens of people participated in a program hosted by the Baton Rouge NAACP and Mt. Zion First Baptist Church.

Rev. TJ Jemison, the former pastor of Mt. Zion who died last year, was also remembered during the event.

Southern University System President Ronald Mason was the guest speaker and the march down Government Street in downtown Baton Rouge followed the service.
