BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Two more people have been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting that happened on St. Joseph Street in January.
Colodiuse, 35, and Jameeka Bowie, 18, the mother and cousin of Devon Bowie were both arrested on obstruction of justice charges. Police say Colodiuse left the house where the shooting happened with Devon, and then went into hiding to avoid being questioned. They also say she originally denied being home at the time of the shooting, but later admitted she was there.
They also say Jameeka tried to cover for her mother and brother by saying her mother was not home at the time of the shooting.
Both were booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Devon was arrested on January 18th after police say he shot and killed his cousin Patrick Williams on January 13th.
Bowie is charged with second-degree-murder and illegal use of a weapon.
